Nelspruit is a beautiful town located in the middle of the Lowveld. Nelspruit is one of the busiest towns to be found in Mpumalanga and is popular with a variety of people of people young and old. The location for Nelspruit is prime as it lies conveniently near a lot of the popular attractions as well as near small towns. Mbombela is the Capital city of Mpumalanga and is known worldwide because of its close proximity to the World-famous Kruger National Park.
Nelspruit’s name has been officially renamed to Mbombela. One of the popular reasons why Mbombela is so popular, is because of its sport functions and the varied sport facilities it boasts. Ilanga was then built on the opposite side of the town, near the homes and residential areas for greater ease of access for many residents. Healthy Hygiene Habits to Adopt

- Use alcohol based wet wipes. These can be used for all sorts of things, like wiping down light switches, remote controls, door handles, phones, and anything else that you think has perhaps not recently been given a clean.
- Have a look at the bathroom. Although most reputable hotels and lodges (those that have been given a great number of excellent reviews) will have scrubbed their bathrooms, it doesn’t hurt to give the bathroom a closer look when you enter your room.
- Check your duvet. If it looks like it has been used, or if you think that it is not clean, you can always request a new one. Don’t be shy to ask.
- Bring along your own slippers. Regardless of what type of flooring the room has, you should always have your own slippers which you can wrap up in a bag when you are headed home, so that they don’t spread any germs that they might have picked up along the way.
- Wash the glasses. Any glasses in your room, and let’s be honest, most accommodation, whether it is in Nelspruit or Paris, will have a drinking glass or two, should be rinsed with soapy water before you use them.

There are so many local producers, local manufacturers and local crafters operating in the Nelspruit area, that if you plan correctly, you could do your monthly shopping completely locally.

Food
Food and drink are two things that those living in the Lowveld know how to do well. Many local producers supply some of the freshest fruits and vegetables, while our local culinary masters turn these raw products into scrumptious meals.

The Halls Stall is located on the N4, just on the outskirts of Nelspruit and their bakery and locally made jams and preserves are truly legendary.
